I completely agree with you about the scale and your journey is very similar to mine and millions of other women. There should be no shame associated with taking GLP-1 as long as the journey is properly monitored and managed by an endocrinologist!

Amen, sister! This medication should never be used to make people feel shamed or embarrassed, as if it’s somehow an “easy way out.” Those of us on this same journey have struggled long and hard, and made this decision after much thought. I applaud you for your honesty and transparency!

Love your honesty and transparency! Mid life hormonal weight is such a struggle. I’d love to hear more about your GLP journey where you break it down, and if you used a compounded peptide (Sema or Tirz?) or if it was the Rx pen. So many of us who are on the electrons find your information invaluable. Stay RAD!

I just started semaglutide 2 weeks ago and already the way I look and feel has shifted. It has also addressed so many other things I was dealing with. I am a total GLP-1 fan and thank you for sharing your journey!

Thank you for sharing! I'm in my mid 40s, a physician, and have the exact same issues. Our hormones make it really difficult to lose weight at this age. You look amazing!

Loved this. The only thing that’s worth calling out more is how people are born with that “off switch” and have been genetically more thin because of their ability to control food/etc. there are many of us that are born with a different metabolism and appetite. GLP-1s just helps put us on an even playing field. It’s not an easy way out, and many people that don’t have those issues unfortunately tend to pass judgement.

I started a tirzepatide 9 months ago and have literally never felt or looked better. It’s not just weight loss, it’s inflammation loss. That plus silencing food noise has changed my life. I wish I’d had it for the last 20 years. More women need to openly share so the insurers and drug companies get on board. Thanks for doing do, Emese!

Bravo Emese! I love your style of plain old fashioned honest talk without any BS. It’s so refreshing and meaningful. You have a great perspective and outlook, and it’s clear that your objective in telling your story is to help others who may be in a similar journey. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. Do you mind sharing your weight before starting medication and where you wanted to go? And did you lose more than before you had kids? Losing 50lbs sounds like a lot so I'm just trying to understand what your personal threshold or goal might have been to establish what you felt was a healthy weight for your body and frame
