I wanted to start something that I share weekly moving forward. Meet The Covet List. It’s pretty simple, but it’s the things that I covet or have been inspired by that I have on my mood-board or in my virtual carts. It might be a look I want to re-create, a product that I tried and love or something for the home that is on my list. A mixed bag of tricks if you will.
Let’s start with Love Story: the JFK Jr. + Carolyne Bessette-Kennedy show. If that isn’t the definition of why timeless elegance always wins, I don’t know what is. You could pluck every single look from CBK’s wardrobe and drop it in 2026 and it would not only work, but look just as amazing. While her style was distinct, it was also the fact that she knew the value of investing in pieces rather than trends. That is something I have only learned in my 40s, she was light years ahead in her early 30s.
Obviously now I need a red coat. I went down the rabbit hole trying to find one that checks the boxes and I think all these do the job. This one from Boden is on sale for $172; this one from Tôteme makes it more spring-like. The belt on this one gives the CBK vibe and is on sale as well for $570 (from $1600) plus an extra 25% off from a chic French brand. J.Crew does this coat every season and it is elegant and the red is perfect.
