It’s no secret that I have, and use, a lot of makeup. Not all at once, of course - but I am not a one-lipstick or foundation kind of gal. One might go as far as to say that I’m a little slooty when it comes to product. Part of is that I try a lot of new things - some I receive, some I buy because it’s just launched and I need to do the legwork for you guys and share the good, bad and the ugly. But ultimately, I know that if it’s in my top drawer, she is here to play and stay, so let me share with you the top drawer players of the moment.

My most-used daytime moisturizer

Let’s start with my base. And the first step in me applying my makeup is the face cream that helps the makeup “stick” to something. The right base is so important because it hydrates the face and lets the makeup go on smooth. I always say it doesn’t matter how great your makeup is, if you don’t hydrate your skin with the right moisturizer. My go-to is this Tatcha. It works on all skin types, gives a really nice base to the skin.

My dark circle magic eraser

I was asked to try out The Neutralizer Pencil when Jones Road launched it and had to keep it under wraps till it was available to all. My only way to describe it is it’s a magic eraser for dark circles. I have worked hard to bring down the puffiness of my eyes, but the dark circles are hereditary and a bit harder, so this has been a Godsend. I use it as a primer for my concealer and some days I find I don’t even need any concealer. My concealers I reach for depend on how hydrated I am - I love the Chanel one I have talked about that is almost like a treatment concealer, and I still love my Hourglass because it’s buildable but never gets cakey or dry.
