I’ve gotten the memo - you all want some outfit suggestions for the holidays. Whether it’s to carve the turkey, dance at a wedding or attend one of 27 holiday parties, I will attempt to put everything together for you as a so-called “style guide”. Let’s go!

For Thanksgiving, I think there are two routes.

Dressier but still comfy. If you’re going somewhere other than your home and feel like putting some effort in, I love this look.

This cardigan is beautiful, chocolate brown and navy specks (&under $300); a tennis necklace that sparkles but doesn’t drain your bank account; I love a good slip-dress, and this one checks all the boxes; this clutch is something you will use forever; an easy and comfy chocolate suede bootie is a winner this winter.

The alternate, which is what I always tend to go with, is comfortable and casual.

This sweater is fair isle perfection; my favorite jeans feel dressier in a darker rinse; these look like my Loro Piana but cost 1/3 of the price; these earrings just add a little something to dress it all up.

For post-dinner, you are never at a loss when you throw on this set. You are in absolute lounge-wear heaven but don’t look like you’ve given up on life. And use code EMESE50 to save :)

The Black Tie Wedding

Something about fall/winter weddings calls for black tie apparently. I hear you! Sharing some favorites below that will make you stand out….in a good way.

This dress looks insanely expensive but is under $1000
The draping on this dress makes it insanely flattering on all - you’ll reach for it over and over again.
This style was first made famous by Miu Miu, but now other brands have recreated it and this one is a winner. It’s so easy to dress up with the right shoe and bag, and you’ll feel comfortable.
This is just stunning. Nothing else to add.
Love this dress - and it’s massively on sale for under $500
This feels like the Victoria Beckham but is just over $500
